Tea Shop Visitors

There is a warm  friendly welcome for everyone.. including  ramblers, vintage car rallies, cyclists, motorcyclists and families.
Megarrys won a BACA award for being the friendliest Antique shop and this applies equally to the teashop! We want you to feel at home and if Judi or her staff are busy with another customer when you arrive you are able to help yourself so that you don't have to wait!

Henry VIII had a mistress Bessie Blount who he used to visit on the Jericho Priory Estate. Jericho Cottage is one of the houses on that estate, so who knows you may be treading in the footsteps of the king!
The mediaeval village was on the main crossroad from London to the East Anglia coast, & used to boast a large number of ale houses and coaching inns. There was also a huge horse fair held annually. The church has one of the oldest wooden  Bell Towers in the country dating from c1400. Enough to whet your appetite? Come and find out more!

We're a well known 'pit stop' for lone cyclists and groups. Free water top up, and a place to secure your bike while you rest and have a cold or hot drink and something to eat.

Come in for a rest and refreshment, and don't worry about your boots.. The main teashop is quarry tiled, or you can use the sheltered 'sun deck' or patio depending on the weather. Again if you are a big group we appreciate a phone call so that we can put the urn on.
